The state of Illinois only cares about paper compliance and not the rights or needs of this population.
The State of IL and the Federal Government has acted properly in the closing of Somerset. They showed a clear commitment to the health and welfare of the patients. Somersets former patients are now safer and receive professional, accountable care.

It’s nice that you believe that, but you provide no evidence. The information on this site provides evidence to the contrary: that the state of IL has not shown a commitment to the health and welfare of the patients at all and that they are not safer or receiving more professional, more accountable care.
This is not a matter of opinion: I plan to document the outcome of their effort.
